Angela Hair trained in psychology and practised classical homeopathy for 10 years before learning Intentional Grace and adapting this system to find effective solutions for a wide range of physical, emotional, and spiritual health issues. She has worked with this system for over 12 years and was a pioneer in its development.

Angela Hair has worked as a homeopath for 30 years both throughout Hawke’s Bay and further afield. During the first ten years she worked as a classical homeopath and then joined a small group of therapists that developed Intentional Grace in 2008.
“We use a practice of ‘muscle testing’ that indicates when the body’s subtle energetic field resonates with a homeopathic solution, other natural therapy or orthodox approach. This method of identifying the body’s preferred route of recovery saves money and angst. Effective treatments are given in the order the person needs them.
Not all health issues are solved with a pharmaceutical approach. Blocks in the energetic ‘river’ that flows through each person, can be identified and removed with a homeopathic remedy whose symptoms are matching. Angela provides supportive non-judgemental listening while recording the story and usually provides the homeopathic remedies during the consultation to minimise delays.“
Angela was educated in Turanga Gisborne and at Canterbury University. She completed a four year B.Sc (hons) Psychology science degree including Zoology, Biology, Sociology and English. She completed the four year Diploma of Homeopathy at Wellington College of Homeopathy in 1997 and the Advanced Diploma of Homeopathy with the Bay of Plenty College of Homeopathy in 2006.
She has taken part in many homeopathic ‘provings’ where new remedies are made, both in New Zealand and overseas. In 2009 she worked for three weeks as a volunteer homeopath on a tea estate in India and as a result of that experience now provides low income clinics for people who are otherwise unable to afford homeopathy.

RENAL STONES
“There has to be another way,” said one of my clients when faced with having his renal stones removed in hospital. He was in his fifties and had been booked in for an operation but didn’t really want to go. He had very clear pain symptoms that suggested to me a homeopathic remedy commonly used for cramping and gastric pain. I gave him six doses and told him to take one each day. When he returned two weeks later he told me that every day after taking his morning dose of the remedy, he felt tired by afternoon and had to have a sleep. At the end of that sleep he would wake up and urinate out the gravel of his renal stones - a painful process but not a crisis for him. He was surprised by the end of the week to have no more pain and no need to go to hospital for an operation. “Eighty dollars well spent,” I recall him saying.
STROKE
One of the first people I visited in Hastings Fallen Soldier’s Memorial hospital was an elderly man who had had a stroke and was in a coma. His daughter was insistent that homeopathy be used. I had given him homeopathic Arnica without much change in his condition. One evening I went up to the ward to observe him. He was lying on his back and his breathing was very laboured. His breath smelt awful despite the best efforts of his nurses and daughter to keep his mouth hydrated. His stroke had been a big shock and he was in a coma. From these symptoms, I prescribed the homeopathic medicine made from the drug opium. The remedy was popped inside his cheek to dissolve while he slept. This time the man woke up after an hour and said “I’m okay” to his daughter and went back to sleep. He then needed a repeat of Arnica as his comment and stroke symptoms indicated. He was discharged home from the hospital wheelchair bound and with some disability, but alive. His family were grateful for what his medical team and homeopathy did for him. I advised them to have Arnica at home if another stroke occurred.
VIRAL MENINGITIS
Years ago I was asked by a family to visit their son in hospital when he was diagnosed with viral meningitis and suffering from severe head pain, light sensitivity and vomiting, the latter being made worse from frequent oral painkillers administered by the hospital.
His symptoms were: sudden onset of high fevers; sensitive to noise and light; severe pain in the head; rolls his head on his pillow; head pain worse lying with his head low; face is red and flushed.
I walked into the room and met the young man and his mother and quietly observed him while she filled me in on the history. I decided to give a commonly used homeopathic fever remedy, although there were no high fevers to speak of probably due to the anti-inflammatories that had been administered. The patient had been lying with his head on the pillow and I observed he sometimes rolled his head from side to side and moaned with pain. The curtains were pulled and the room seemed hot. The doctor was due to come in so I gave a single dose of the remedy in a medium potency and watched his response.
Over the five - ten minutes of the doctor’s consultation the remedy had done its work and the patient was now sitting up, looking quite well and saying the pain was better. The doctor, seeing the patient was better, advised he could go home as the hospital was “not a good place to be when you are sick” and that “he could easily get a hospital bug if he stayed in”; besides, the hospital was full and they couldn’t give him a bed! His mother had observed the improvement in her son and when the doctor had left, turned to me and said, “Do you think the remedy has worked so quickly?” “Yes” I replied, “the homeopathic version of the ‘beautiful lady’ works that quickly.”
So the young patient went home with a drug regimen from the doctor and his remedy. He managed his illness over the next few days with the remedy when the pain was bad and codeine if needed for extra pain relief at night. The other pain tablets were not needed and he recovered from the acute illness over the next few days, needing additional homeopathic treatment a month later to help with the longer-term effects of the disease.
AN ANIMAL STORY
A few year ago a very tired neighbour called to ask for homeopathic help for her newly-acquired Jersey herd. She had been up every night for the previous week helping the cows birth calves with very big heads. Sadly, two calves had already died and one cow needed a caesarean. The veterinarians didn’t have any answers except to suggest the bull had faulty semen.
Heifers are like some teenage mums - young and inexperienced cows. The mental picture I had was heifers that didn’t have enough energy to push the big-headed calves out. According to my neighbour’s description it was as if they were indifferent to the job. I thought of a homeopathic remedy given to women who are feeling flat, have no energy and are indifferent to their baby. I supplied a liquid dose of this remedy in a high potency which was put into the water trough. The next morning I got a text to say “a calf had been born in the night with no help.” The other twenty heifers calved naturally without interference and the neighbours said “the remedy worked really well!”
